Reality is overrated. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the Scene Sponsor of WeirdFest 2025 — none other than Professor Hacker’s Lost Treasure Golf and Raceway, which will serve as the official Site of Interdimensional Liminality on October 11, 2025, from 2 – 7PM.

For one day only, this beloved Carteret County attraction will become a thin place: a nexus of fuzzy dimensions. Festival-goers will be invited to step across the veil and explore multiple realities, each one unfolding across the property. Participate fully, and you earn your Official Interdimensional Traveler Certification, suitable for framing (and potentially useful in certain esoteric job markets).

Hosted by Planck Length Publishing to support our debut anthology, Weird Tales from Waves End Retreat, this immersive lit fest includes:

  • The Skull-astic Book Fair – the biggest in Carteret County with books, arts, and crafts from local creatives
  • Feast of the Nom Nomicon – nom nomnomnom nom nom nomnom
  • Interactive Story Portals – complete narrative challenges on the course to shift dimensions
  • Riftwear Runway Fashion Show – parade your multiversal drip

Submissions for our Cover Art Contest are now open, and story submissions remain open through August 31, as we finish up current EPIC Carteret projects.

And yes, we’re still seeking strange sponsors—the good kind of strange. If your business thrives among readers, makers, dreamers, and the delightfully unclassifiable, we’d love to talk. This is not your average event. This is WeirdFest.

Enter the festival. Exit weirder.
