Last week, Dawson Rule of WNCT stopped by the Morehead City Library to speak with the youth production team behind Coastal Connections, a two-day media intensive led by Planck Length Publishing’s flagship podcast, EPIC Carteret. The young producers shared how they’ve been exploring the role of “third spaces” in combating loneliness and building community while learning what it means to lead a professional media project from start to finish.
The workshop marks EPIC Carteret’s evolution into a podcast incubator for local creatives, part of Planck Length Publishing’s broader commitment to serving as a hands-on learning press.
Coastal Connections was made possible through the generous support of Narrative Arts, which secured grant funding from the North Carolina Arts Council and the Carteret County Arts Council, and entrusted the program’s development to PLP founder Autumn Ware.
