Hardcovers & Paperbacks

Books you can dog-ear, underline, and press into a friend’s hand.

Not everything we publish is small—some stories need the space of a full-length book to stretch out, deepen, and spread their tentacles.

Our hardcover and paperback projects offer authors a more traditional path through place-based publishing, speculative exploration, and stories that refuse to be rushed.

Each title reflects our values: exploration, transformation, empowerment. Whether grounded in memoir or spun from an uncanny thread of fiction, these books reflect the richness of lived experience and the magic of deep attention.

New Release: A Spork in the Road by Emily Carter

A debut narrative blending humor and insight in a journey that’s equal parts soul food and storytelling.

Emily Carter’s A Spork in the Road will warm your heart, feed your soul and flat-out make you a better person. It just will. A funny, wise, loving joyride through Carter’s life in the rural South, this remarkable memoir benefits from the author’s fearless ability to steer the conversation to deeper waters just when you least expect it. Think Anne Lamott with less Bay Area and more livermush. In other words: perfection.

Coming January 2026: Weird Tales from Waves End Retreat

Beneath the sun-bleached docks & rusted mobile home roofs, something stalks the shadows of Waves End Retreat, an oak-dark island trailer park in coastal North Carolina.

Our upcoming Weird Lit anthology invites writers to explore the uncanny, the unexplained, and the utterly bizarre through the lens of a place as changeable as the tides and strange as the winds that shape it.

Each story will unfold in a different trailer and a different moment in time—spanning genres from cosmic horror to paranormal romance, from dystopian sci-fi to seaweed-choked folk horror.
